Testimonials from clients
"I visited Claire for four EMDR sessions before my right hip revision total hip replacement operation in July 2013.The previous year I had been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress due to numerous operations and traumas as a child. Claire made me feel at ease, we revisited some of my old fear. She was calm and enabled me to focus on certain events from my childhood that left me feeling cold, scarred and nauseous, memories that felt so real to me in the present. Claire enabled me to successfully process dormant horrors, so that I felt in control and prepared psychologically for my operation. I am so grateful for Claire's skills and had a successful recovery as a result of the EMDR treatment. " (Alison 48)

"I'd like to thank you for all the help you gave me, already I feel an improvement and the roundabout model is starting to work wonders." (Sam 19)

"I had some sessions with Claire to help with my fear of flying. Although the sessions were an emotional process, the change was miraculous. I felt in complete control on my next flight. It was like I could put it all into perspective." (Emma, 37)

"I took my 10 year old daughter to see Claire, as she was suffering with OCD. I saw changes in her behaviour from the first session. It helped her manage her OCD and get rid of most of her obsessions completely. If she feels like some of her obsessions are beginning to come back she has the ability now to stop them. I asked her what she felt about her treatment and OCD now. Her response was "I don't even think about my OCD anymore." (Sophie, 9)

"I first had a session with Claire in August 2012 after suffering from anxiety, depression and OCD. Claire initially targeted my OCD symptoms and very quickly this came under control to the point that I now consider myself free from OCD. Also through Claire's guidance and CBT I now feel that my work/life balance is where it should be. CBT has also made me more comfortable and happy in tackling the everyday personal and work situations that life throws at me." (Scott, 40, Gloucestershire)

"I was referred to Claire after I was involved in a car accident where another car drove into the side of mine; this resulted in me developing high anxiety around driving. I constantly worried whilst driving about another accident happening and about the safety of my children. I got to the point where I avoided any unfamiliar journeys, roads that I felt a little uncomfortable with and I could not drive on the motorway. Claire provided me with a supportive environment and her calm, understanding approach made me feel confident and able to trust her, this helped me to get the most out of my sessions. After my first few sessions with Claire, I was able to face my feelings about the initial car accident and she helped to take the trauma away; I was then able to start facing my driving fears. Claire enabled me to work through my anxiety and go on the motorway, as well as start driving places that I had been avoiding. Although I found this really hard, Claire's approach helped me to work through my feelings so that I got to a point where I could manage them.
I have now finished my sessions with Claire and feel that I have the ability and confidence to drive on the motorway and to do new journeys. I had to put in hard work to overcome my anxiety and continue to do so; I still get anxious but I am able to work through this on my own now." (Lisa, 39)

"…we are expecting a boy, I have joined the school PTA so my social anxiety is sooooo much better, thanks so much for everything, its made such a HUGE difference" (Kat, 28)
"Absolutely amazing! Claire was patient, supportive and everything a therapist should be. I felt safe even though at times it was hard work Claire made the treatment manageable. My life has changed so much for the better, I can enjoy my children and they have a happy Mum, the shadows have gone so thank you so much" (MT, 44)

"I was very worried about my treatment but Claire always was patient and understanding and helped me get back on track. I am well on the way to leading a normal life, all credit to her" (Sue)
